MEET LAURA

Each time we step onto the mat, it’s an awakening: a path that opens us to stillness, balance, and the fullness of life.

I’ve stepped out of the noise, the burnout, and the endless striving, and into something far more powerful: stillness, clarity, and joy. This is where I live now — in alignment with my biggest self.

I’m not here to “fix” you, because you are not broken. What I offer is an invitation: to discover the calm strength that’s already within you. To experience what it feels like to rest in stillness, to soften into your own presence, and to let that change everything.

As a yoga teacher of more than 20 years, trained in mind-body practices, nervous system healing, and spiritual traditions, I bring both depth and compassion to every class. To my students, I’m a guide, a calm presence, and a reminder that you can rise into your own radiance at any stage of life.

Through yoga, meditation, and practices that reconnect you to your body and spirit, I’ll walk beside you — living proof that there is light, wholeness, and joy on the other side.

Frequently Asked Questions

I know joining a new class can bring up lots of little questions. Here are some quick answers to help you feel at ease

Question 1: Where are the classes located?

Our sessions are held at Rising Moon Studio, a beautiful space just outside of Sherwood Park, only three minutes from the city, but it feels like a retreat. The studio has soaring high ceilings, a cozy fireplace for cold winter nights, and an atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. There’s plenty of free parking, and the setting makes it the perfect place to let go, relax, and recharge away from the busyness of daily life.

Question 2: What if I just want to drop in?

Each class is designed to build gently on the last, so I highly encourage signing up for the full series to get the most benefit and consistency. However, if you’re not ready to commit, drop-ins are welcome as long as there’s space available.

Question 3: Do I need any yoga experience?

Absolutely not. These classes are created for anyone who wants something gentle and supportive — it’s not about pushing yourself or “keeping up.” If you’ve never done yoga before, this is a beautiful way to begin. At the same time, in classes like Somatic Vinyasa and Pause Practice, I offer variations for those with more experience so you can explore a little more challenge if you’d like. Everyone is welcome, and everything is invitational.

Question 4: What if I miss a class?

Life happens! If something comes up and you can’t make your usual class, you’re welcome to attend one of the other classes that week, as long as there’s space available. I do encourage you to come to your regular class whenever possible so you get the full benefit of the series and the supportive circle that forms within it.
