Come home
to your breath,
your body,
yourself
Take a Breath
Feel What's Real
Live What's True
You’ve done enough pushing, striving, and trying to hold it all together. This is your invitation to pause, breathe, and come back to yourself.
At Beyond the Bend, we create space to explore balance—both in your body and in your day-to-day life. Not the performative kind, but the kind that actually helps you move through things with a little more steadiness and ease.
Whether you’re craving gentle movement, nervous system support, or just a place to feel grounded in the middle of everything—you belong here.
Come take the first steps toward feeling strong, centered, and more at home in your own skin.
Why Beyond the Bend?
A Home for Calm, Connection and Community
At Beyond the Bend, it’s not just about the classes. Everything we offer is designed to help you feel grounded, supported, and steady—especially when life isn’t. Whether you’re here for movement, stillness, or a sense of community, this is a space to feel more like yourself again.
Relationship-First Approach
At Beyond the Bend, everything starts with connection.
Not the surface kind—the real kind. The kind that makes you feel like you belong.
The Nervous System Knows
Real wellness starts from within—from helping your body shift out of survival mode and back into a state of calm.
At Beyond the Bend, our classes are designed to support you from the inside out. Through breathwork, movement, meditation, and intentional rest, we help you build a steady foundation—so you can feel more clear, more grounded, and more you.
Whether you're here to find calm, reconnect with yourself, or just take a breather from the noise of life, this is a space to reset and return to center—at your own pace, in your own way.
Come As You Are,
Explore As You're Ready
No pressure. No perfect poses. No proving anything.
Just space to move, breathe, and be exactly where you are.
At Beyond the Bend, we’re not here for performance—we’re here for presence. Every class and program is designed to let you explore what works for you, at your own pace, in your own way.
Come as you are. Pajamas and messy buns welcome.
Ways to Practice With Us
Join Laura Harvey for yoga classes designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and find stillness in the middle of a busy life.
Classes are held locally in Edmonton and Sherwood Park and are open to all levels — no experience needed. Each class is an invitation to move with awareness, breathe deeply, and restore balance to body and mind.
Somatic Vinyasa — A mindful flow where breath and movement connect. Instead of striving for shapes, you’ll explore how your body feels from the inside out, releasing tension and moving naturally into stillness.
Restorative Yoga — Supported postures that invite deep rest and renewal. This practice soothes the nervous system and allows you to let go completely.
Gentle Hatha Yoga — Slow, steady movement through foundational poses. Gentle hatha builds balance, strength, and ease while leaving you grounded and refreshed.
Workshops & Programs
Throughout the year, Laura offers regularly scheduled workshops in Edmonton and Sherwood Park. These special events often include collaborations with other teachers and facilitators to create meaningful experiences in beautiful local venues.
Keep an eye on the Workshops page for new offerings, and be sure to sign up for the newsletter to receive all the details about upcoming workshops directly to your inbox.
Laura's gentle approach, soothing voice and non-judgmental presence provides the perfect invitation into restorative work. Her knowledge and experience are evident as she guides you through poses and processes that will open you to healing.

When I started practicing with Laura, I was still dealing with a serious shoulder injury from a ski accident. Through her gentle, mindful approach to movement, my shoulder fully healed—something I honestly didn’t think was possible. I’m so grateful for her guidance.
