Join us for a unique 5-hour workshop that blends somatic and restorative yoga, breathwork, meditation, and journaling with a guided mandala art session.
Root & Bloom is designed as a creative pause—a space to slow down, exhale deeply, and express soulfully.
You’ll be guided through yoga movement and reflection practices to calm your nervous system, followed by a relaxing tea break and an opportunity to explore your inner world through mandala creation.
No yoga or art experience needed—just come as you are.

I'm Laura, founder of Beyond the Bend Yoga. I’ve been teaching yoga since 2002, with a deep love for creating space where women can slow down, reconnect, and feel at home in themselves again. My teachings blend gentle movement, nervous system support, and creative reflection to guide meaningful inner shifts.
Tamara is a local artist with a passion for creating gentle, welcoming spaces where creativity supports healing and self-discovery. With a background in therapeutic art practices, she brings a grounded, intuitive presence to her work, helping others reconnect to their inner calm through the simple joy of making.
This workshop is where the gentle act of creation becomes a powerful tool for relaxation and self-discovery. You'll spend mindful time crafting 1-2 intricate mandalas using a beautiful array of pencils, ink, markers, and pencil crayons.
This artistic process is a therapeutic path to calm, offering a wonderful way to unwind your mind, body, and spirit. And, to ensure your beautiful creations are cherished, you'll receive a frame to display your unique artwork at home.
A yoga mat, a cozy blanket, a journal and pen, and a water bottle. Yoga props and art supplies will be provided.
Not at all. Everything will be guided gently and accessibly. Just come as you are.
We’ll have tea and light snacks during our breaks. You’re welcome to bring something for yourself if needed.
